“Not Just Beautiful, but Alive and Breathing”

Artist Arcilia Gonzalez stands in front of wall containing three large landscape pieces

Arcilia Gonzalez creates landscape drawings using a monochromatic black-and-white palette that focuses viewer's attention on the fine details in her work. Upon moving to Leavenworth, Kansas, from Fort Worth, Texas, Arcilia found inspiration in the varied prairie terrain of the Midwest. Her charcoal and ink drawings capture the beautiful rolling landscapes of the Kansas City area. This body of work includes pieces from 2014 through 2017.
